Some important dates in Club history
May 4, 1974. The first meeting to discuss the founding
of the Club was held at the home of Louis & Gilda
Banyai of Ingleside, Ontario. Other attendees included
Bea & Richard Andrews, Fred & Jutta Deppe & Charles
Franklin.
August 25, 1974. The Club's first sanction match
was held at "La Salle Factory Ltd", New
Westcourt Mall, Cornwall, Ontario. The Executive
and Show Committee members were:

September 3, 4, 5, 1977. The Club held it's
first All Breed Championship Dog Show at the
Cornwall Civic Complex.
Best in Show was a Doberman Pinscher owned
by Rose Brennan of Plattsville, Ontario. The
handler was H.G. Butler of St. Amable, Quebec.

October 26, 1977.
The Club held it's first obedience classes. They
were
conducted by William
Feeny, a trainer from Montreal and were held
at the Canadian Cotton building on Edward Street
in Cornwall. Pictured at left are the first
group of graduates. |

On August
30, 31, September 1, 2, 2002, the annual
All Breed Championship Show moved outdoors
for
the
first time at Farran Park, Ingleside, Ontario.
The show returns to the area of the
birthplace of the Club.
